of the 27th Summer Olympic Games in Sydney Australia.
Vision Uplink
Australia provided the Ku Flash Truck and the Ground Station at the International
Broadcast Centre to carry the two 45Mb/s "live" programme feeds
to the USA. This ground station commenced operation on the 22nd August,
and was turned down on the 3rd October, 2000. (no fault dockets were issued
by NBC for this Ground Station or the Flash Truck )
Telstra Australia
provided two 8 Mb/s back up circuits through their Oxford Falls Ground
Station.
Vision Accomplished
from Hawaii provided a fixed Ground Station at Olympic Park and a Ku uplink
truck for NBC's ToDay Show.
